Tsubame KFC supercomputer at the Tokyo Institute of Technology

Tokyo, January 29 2014 - The small building containing the Tsubame KFC is located next to the statue of Seiichi Tejima, the founder of the University.
On the Ookayama campus of the Tokyo Institute of Technology (titech), researchers designed a prototype supercomputer which is submerged in a tank of mineral oil. The computer, called Tsubame KFC, is 50 percent more powerful than an older supercomputer at the institute, but uses the same amount of energy. Copyright : Jeremie Souteyrat for the New York Times.
