Miyakonojo Civic Center by Kiyonori Kikutake.

Miyakonojo, Miyazaki prefecture, Japan, May 8 2017 - Miyakonojo Civic Center by Japanese architect Kiyonori KIKUTAKE was built in 1966. Due to the demographic crisis of towns in rural Japan, the town was not able to face the maintenance costs. The building was closed since 2007 for security reasons and was demolished in November 2019.
KIKUTAKE is one of the founders of Metabolist school and the one who had the idea of calling their new movement with the name "Metabolism".
