Blyth, England, UK, 20 September 2019 - In his office with Ronnie Campbell, 76, a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Blyth Valley since 1987. He left school at 14 to become a coal miner.
Blyth is a former coal mining and shipbuilding town. The town's industry is now focused on shipping paper and pulp coming from Scandinavia, and on renewable energy sources. Although an historical ground of left-wing Labour party, the town voted mostly for the LEAVE camp at the Brexit referendum in 2016.
