Nakagin Capsule Tower
Tokyo, Japan, July 23 2016 - Capsule #B1004. Portrait of Takayuki SEKINE, 52, one of the residents and capsule-owners of the Nakagin Capsule Tower, designed by architect Kisho KUROKAWA and completed in 1972. Mr SEKINE and his wife bought their capsule in 2005 for 4 Millions Yens (about 35 000 EUR) and fight now for the renovation of the building. They spend most of their week-ends in the tower. The building is a rare example of Metabolism architecture movement and face to be taken apart.
