Back in the no-go zone
Ukedo village, Namie city, April 4 2013 - Mr Kanoue, former chief of Ukedo's fishermen, visiting the place where his wife died in the tsunami. He tried to rescue her but she was swept away by the wave before they could reach the top of the hill. His house was destroyed by the wave and he will probably never be able to work again as a fisherman because of the nuclear disaster. Former residents can visit during a single day trip, but not stay overnight.
