Salmon in Fukushima

Naraha, Fukushima prefecture, Japan, January 8 2016 - Since the Fukushima nuclear accident in march 2011, The Kidogawa fisheries cooperative association has been trying to have the salmon industry back in the region. In 2014, for the first time, salmon have been sold again in the local fish market. As salmon are living very far from the coast, they have not been impacted by the radioactive leakes from the nuclear power plant.
