Matthew Greenburgh
London, UK, May 21 2018 - Portrait of Matthew Greenburgh in front of his artwork "Annuit Cœptis" at the Degree Show of University of the Arts London (Central Saint Martins). Matthew Greenburgh is a former banker who worked on two takeovers that became synonymous with the credit crunch. He has moved from finance to photography since quitting Bank of America Merrill Lynch seven years ago. Mr. Greenburgh and BAML advised Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC on its 2007 acquisition of parts of ABN Amro Holding NV and Lloyds Banking Group PLC when it purchased HBOS PLC the following year. Both deals helped ensure these banks needed multibillion-pound bailouts from the British taxpayer during the financial crisis. Having made his fortune advising ambitious banking chiefs like RBS’s Fred Goodwin, Mr. Greenburgh has become a photographer.
