The Young in Fukushima city
Koriyama, November 2012 - In front of the thyroid tests center. Fukushima prefecture started a large examination campaign for thyroid tests for every 360,000 kids of the prefecture under 18. Although more thand half of the kids have nodules or cyst, the governement does not consider this results as a consequence of the nuclear disaster. In the case of Tchernobyl, the first cancers appeared more than 4 years after the accident. The tests are leaded by Pr. Shunichi Yamashita, who declared in a conference that "if you are smiling, you will not have any radiation effect" and that radioactivity has no effect on health below 100microSv/h (equivalent to 876mSv/year - International radiation limit for nuclear workers is 20msv/year), resulting in a very suspicious atmosphere.
